Wedding: Simply us

Photos, Wedding
Since it’s wedding season I figured I would share more of our wedding photos with you guys.

“Do I love you? My God, if your love were a grain of sand, mine would be a universe of beaches.” -W.G.

“So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s going to be really hard; we’re gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me… everyday.” -N. S.

“Two people in love, alone, isolated from the world, that’s beautiful.”-M.K.

“I love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I’ve ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours. ” -N.S.

“And he took her in his arms and kissed her under the sunlit sky, and he cared not that they stood high upon the walls in the sight of many.” – J.R.R.T.

So which one is your favorite?  Do you enjoying looking at your wedding photos as much as I love looking at mine?

Recap: Unforgettable that’s what you are…

Photos, Wedding
I know I have been a terrible blogger lately but please excuse my absence. I’ve been very busy with school and with getting over a cold that lasted more than a month. I promise that next year will be full of more post and inspiration.
Until then here is one more pictures from our wedding:

Recap: On this day…

Photos, Re-cap, Wedding

Since its Veterans Day and everyone is giving thanks to all the men and women that have given so much for our country I would like to do the same. As you can recall from here and here we set our wedding date upon the return of my cousin from his tour in Iraq. I’m so glad we waited for him to come home because it wouldn’t have been the same without him there. He is so cute the day after the wedding he came up to me and said that when he saw me come down the aisle he shed a tear. Our family is so close and tight knit that he is more like a brother than a cousin. On this day I would like to commend my cousin Sgt R. for doing something that I would never be able to do.

These are my cousins who are more like my brothers. I love this photo of us.

This is my cousin as we are greeting everyone outside the church.

To all the men and women who have served and will serve over seas I want to say thank you for all your hard work and your sacrifices.

Recap: Oh Mama…

Photos, Re-cap, Wedding

The day of our wedding my mom and my mother-in-law went bright and early to get all dolled up. My mom looked great when she came back but once she began to help me finish up clean up the apartment she began to sweat. By the time I came back from the salon her makeup was ruined. I told her not all was lost because I could fix it and as I attempted to do that our photographer came into our apartment. One of the things I learned on our wedding day was how important it really was to get a great makeup artist. My mom’s makeup wasn’t the only one messed up and I’m really glad I choose the right stylist/makeup artist.

This photo is of my mom and I as she is giving me her blessing before we left the apartment.

Both of my parents were extremely helpful on the day of the wedding and I would love to thank them.

This is a photo of my mom and I right before I walked down the aisle. She needed to make sure I looked great.

I love this photo of my mom and I because I am never able to catch her with her real smile. When I took my mom and mother-in-law shopping for there dresses my mom saw hers and fell in love with it. Her favorite color is burgundy and there was no way of changing her mind.

I love all these photos of my mom and I am grateful to our photographers for doing such a great job.

Recap: Ode to my Father…

Photos, Wedding

On the day of our wedding my father was such a great helper and I just want to thank him for all his hard work.

I woke up on our wedding day with a cold which is not the greatest position to be in on that day. My mom and mother-in-law where out getting dolled up and I still needed to finish up some last minute details. I began to clean the flowers for the bouquets on my own as my father walks in and asks how he can help me. I told him that I was fine and didn’t need any help but he refused to listen. Before I knew it he had finished cleaning the flowers and was asking for more tasks. I asked him if he could help me out with the bouquets and he agreed. Let me just tell you that my dad is not the type of father that does those kinds of things and that’s what makes it amazing. I loved being able to work alongside my father on my wedding day. We both didn’t really say much while we were workingbut I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better start to my day. There was such a calm in the air and the rose fragrance just added to the perfect father daughter moment. At that point I wasn’t a bride but merely his little girl needing help arranging flowers. Let me just tell you that I didn’t really get too emotional the day of the wedding as I did at that precise moment. I don’t know if he realized how much it meant to me or if he felt the same way about it but what I do know is that my father the one who says he can’t express emotion gave me more that day than any I love you’s can ever say.

As the day progressed and with the bouquets finished I realized that my father on my wedding day was not the Latino chauvinist macho male who always had it under control and never cried but a sensitive, sweet man that was giving away his little girl at the alter. When it came time to place my hands in my now hubby’s hands my daddy shed a tear.

This is a photo of my dad getting ready for the wedding. My goddaughter Julissa is helping him put on his tie.
My father is telling me he wants 3 grandchildren as he is giving me his blessing before we leave the apartment.
Its almost show time.

My daddy giving me away to the love of my life. I love this photo.

The fun continues at the magical place…

E-pics, Photos, Wedding

So why did we chose Disneyland for our e-pics? Simply stated would be history. As I mentioned here my HBoO proposed to me there and since I worked there for 9 years I thought it would be perfect. Our e-session was so much fun and our photographer is amazing. The resolution here doesn’t do justice to his work.

Well I hope you enjoyed our e-pics because we sure did have fun playing in the park. I can’t wait for our wedding day to get here already.
